Ownership and Cancellation

What belongs to you

You keep ownership of your business name, branding, logos, original content, customer information, and domains registered in your name.

What Core Directive keeps

Core Directive provides website development, hosting, and maintenance through its plans. We retain our proprietary software, reusable components, internal systems, and development tools. Client assets are retained by the client. Website source code and proprietary systems are not automatically transferred with a subscription.

Cancelling

You can cancel from your customer dashboard. Your subscription ends at the end of the current billing period. Cancelling does not automatically refund a billing period that has already started. Managed services are scheduled to end when your paid period ends.

Website transfers and buyouts

You can ask for a website transfer or an ownership buyout of specifically identified deliverables. Each request is individually priced by quote. A transfer must be technically feasible, permitted by applicable licenses, and approved in a written agreement. No fee is charged without your approval.

Proprietary source code, reusable Core Directive components, and third-party software licenses are not provided automatically.

Your data after service ends

We do not delete your website files or business data when service ends. They are kept for 45 days, with exceptions where the law requires otherwise. Deletion after that period is reviewed by an administrator.
